“Sensor of the Year” for three consecutive years
The TSL2585, rated as “Sensor of the Year”, is a new miniature ambient light sensor from ams and Osram. It combines high-sensitivity ambient light detection, UVA sensing, 14kHz fast sampling ambient light flicker detection and silicon-based interference filtering technology. Mainly for consumer application scenarios such as wearable devices and smartphones.

The TSL2585 has a short integration time and high sensitivity, and can reliably detect ambient light even under low transmittance materials and OLED screens. In addition, the TSL2585 integrates light source flicker detection and is equipped with three modulators with sampling rates up to 14 kHz. By providing illuminance and ambient light stroboscopic information to the mobile phone camera, it can support fast automatic exposure of the smartphone camera, and can eliminate the ripple effect caused by the ambient lighting strobe.

This is the second time that ams Osram has won this award for its excellent products after the AS7341 multi-channel spectral sensor won the “Sensor of the Year 2019” and the TCS3408 color temperature and light source flicker detection sensor won the “Sensor of the Year 2020”.
“Electronics Company of the Year”, innovative optical solutions drive industry change
At this year’s double summit, ams Osram was selected as the “Best Electronics Company of the Year”. Pierre Laboisse, executive vice president of global sales and marketing at ams Osram, shared the new optical solutions from ams and Osram combining optics and sensing technology, and emphasized the important strategic position of the Chinese market.
